Hi guys,

I just picked up a Ferlach sporter ace model 810 (Made in austria) from an older gentlemen. He is the orignial owner of this rifle, and has never shot it.

I havent been able to find any info on the rifle at all, and was just wondering what it would be worth. Its in MINT condition.

Thanks

There should be the name of the gunsmith and a serial number.

if you re able to read this that will be very easy to contact the guild of gunsmiths of Ferlach and they ll direct you where the rifle has been built ...

ill try to find the contact over there in austria ...

I believe the gunsmith would be Bohler Stahl?

The only number I can see is 1938.71

Perhaps you already know this but Ferlach is not the make of the gun, it is the town in Austria that the gun is made in. Ferlach is a famous gun making town and many different gunsmiths from that town stamp Ferlach onto their work and usually their own name or stamp as well. I don't know the sporter ace model 810 but since your gun has a model number on it that would indicate that someone made a few of them and it's not just a one-off so I would take that information and contact the Ferlach gun guild, they might be able to help. edit I see medvedqc already suggested this

from what I look for : it s a basic mauser model 98 made in 1971.
Bohler is like Krupp a good one.
if there is the pivot mount and a scope it may worth a little more, but naked wont go that far it s not the best of what Ferlach can produce for sur.
but I may be just a very good hunting rifle is it in 270, 7x64 or 30-06?

now if you find out any borovnik name on it that will be another story but I doubt .....
