Sharing some pics of an old SxS 16 ga shotgun made in Ferlach. Ferlach gun makers make nice guns and I wish they were more popular in Canada/US. None of the stores ever carry any in stock, wouldn't mind one in a 12 ga.

WOW, that is gorgeous. How much if you don't mind me asking? Don't want to buy it just a ball park #? All I have is an old flues with 2 1/2" chambers so pretty much useless to me.

Oberndorf, that is a beauty!

I don't usually appreciate German/Austrian guns, but the small frame and straight hand stock really work for me.

Is it a svelt and light as it looks?

Thanks

Mark

I think that gun deserves a more serious comment. I use and love several 16 ga guns, and think they are the perfect bore size for my upland shooting. I like pretty much everything about your gun. Ferlach craftsmanship, game scene engraving, straight grip, sidelocks, side clips, double triggers, splinter fore grip, nice long barrels, leather case, old and well cared for. Perfect! I'd love to hunt with that or something very similar. Wish I could find one. Congratulations on a fine piece of functional art.

Here, here Longwalker, I agree super quality -- I'd have to rob a bank to afford that one!

Awesome shotgun! Why would you want a 12 gauge? The 16 gauge is the ultimate upland gun in my opinion. Plus it is probably made on a smaller frame than the 12 gauge.

That's a beautiful gun, Oberndorf. I spent most of 2011 and half of 2012 pining over a Ferlach gun. Most of them, as you probably know, are one-of-a-kind. The one I couldn't resist was at the Calgary Gun Show for the past 2 years. I started dealing on it 2 years ago, and I lost it to someone else last year during the gun show. Perhaps the lucky bast*rd who stole it out from under my nose will see this and post some better pics. I only have the pics that were sent to me during the negotiation process. The pictures don't do it justice, as you can't see the gold inlays in the pics and the wood is even nicer in the flesh.

Anyway, this is another example of a Ferlach gun:

Thanks everyone, glad you folks liked the gun. It is a sweet light weight gun and a delight to carry.

I am interested in a 12ga because I have another Ferlach SxS in 20 ga with hammers. It would be nice to have a 12,16 & 20ga.

SS - Nice hammer gun with great wood , I can understand your feeling on missing that one. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I will post the pictures in the SxS and OU thread as advised, that is an awesome thread.
