few boxes of SKS ammo

Just purchased an SKS and dont have the funds to buy a whole crate of ammo at this point, what is the best place to buy around 100 or 200 rounds? I see canada ammo sells by the box but does the shipping get costly?

I'd say save up for the case. If you only buy 100 you'll be out of ammo in your first 1/2 hour at the range!

Shipping will probably prohibitive for small amounts.

i already sold a few organs for the toys ive bought lately! I was only gonna buy a few hundred rounds to try the rifle and split on case with someone down the road. The local shop here sells 100 rounds for 40 bucks...seems a bit steep dontcha think??

Here in Edm. for not quite 5 times the money you can get more than 11 times the ammo. Buy a case.
That guy is expensive.

get out to a gun show.there's a lot of sellier/bellot (corrosive) ammo being sold by the box.figure on 4-5 bucks for 20 rnds. and they come with stripper clips.that means 20-25 bucks for 100 rounds.go there knowing that 1120 round cases go for (retail) 209 bucks shipped/taxes in.if you don't like corrosive then there might be a whack(how many in a whack is anyones guess) of non corrosive coming in soon...
p.s. even the coorosive stuff is getting in short supply...

the place i ordered from only had a few cases left.he's a sponsor here.call him and see or check the site.people are buying this stuff like crazy.i was at the mtl. show and i saw a guy with a hand truck taking out 3 cases.a case was going for around 240 and boxes for 4-5 bucks.believe me it's better to get it while you can 'cause when it dries up then prices will rise.just remember it's corrosive stuff so boiling water in barrel,piston,tube and bolt then clean and oil like normal.recheck cleaning job a few days later to make sure you got all the salt out...
