But, but, our folks here have been telling us that you are all disarmed with nothing but single shot bolt actions and then you have to be a Saint to own one of them! Heck I cant have a 10 round mag on a Remy 7600 here but you can?

Why is that? The cartridge limitation in a magazine applies exclusively to semi auto CF rifles and pistols. Bolt and I believe pumps may have as many as you want to carry...........

Find me a law that says you can't.

Hint: You wont. No such law exists in Canada

To the OP, well done! Part of me wishes that we had such ferals to be hunted whenever we wanted, but then the rational part of me kicks the irrational part and realizes how much of a problem they are.

The trouble with the 10 shot mags for the 7600s is that they fit in the 7400s too. That by itself wouldn't be the end of the world, but they are sold as fitting in both. And there's the rub.

It would be easy to design bottom metal to run M14 mags in a bolt gun. Trouble is, you can't have an un-pinned M14 mag no matter what rifle you stick it in. Guess what happens when a 7600 takes AR mags? It gets weird with the 10 shot Aussie AIA mags for their Enfield that happens to also fit in an M14. You could find enough mag reading on the black gun section to make your head explode.

To the OP; where are you situated? I'm sitting in Sydney airport bored out of my skull.

Same Goes Dogleg! if you happen to be in Darwin AP an you see a WhelenLad runnin around , do yell out an say Gday!

We will all be looking forward to your photos when you return, lucky to be going on a Cull hunt but its who ya know an not what ya know up there!

30 degrees with a low of 19 is to be expected, humidity not as bad as it could be!

Safe travels.

It is amazing how few people understand the "designed for" vs "fitted for" rule.

Nice shooting for the OP, although as a slave of 4 cats that pic is a little hard on me!
