Got a pair of Redfield Illuminators, and a B&L Scopechief...all 3-9. Will suit my older PH and HVA's. Still decent glass on these guys.

Nice! Those old Japan made scopechiefs are great. The older redfields I have found hit and miss with yellow/fog on the inside.
I have a minty 3-9 scopechief around as well.

The B&L is certainly brighter, the Redfields are just as clear, but with a noticeable amber tint when compared side by side. I'll mount all 3 as I have some period correct rifles to match them up with, and those TV type occulars on the Redfields are just too neat to sit in a drawer lol.
