I'm considering Leupold VX3 LRP 4.5-14x50, with FFP CCH reticle. I'm a little concern about the close range performance. (around 50 m) How hard is it to center the reticle on target at 50m? (with 4.5 power)
I believe the tip of Christmas tree reticles are usually unnecessary wide, I've rarely needed more than 1 mil windage hold at such short distance. if the reticle has a sharp tip, It would be much easier to use in low magnification.
what's your preference on reticle for hunting in Ontario. Anyone moved away from FFP??
