fiber optic front sight installation on a citori 725

my 725 came with this little box full of different colored front sights, including some fiber optic ones. i'd like to replace the standard white sight with a fiber optic one, but i'm unsure how to remove the existing sight from the shotgun.

do i just pull it out or do i need to do anything before being able to remove it ? then once it's out, do i just push another one in ? i see some little "bumps" or dimples on the sights, which i'm assuming is to retain them in place. so i just need to force it in and out ?
 
Pretty sure mine came with a little tool and some instructions. As I recall, there’s a little spring loaded tab that engages with a groove/shoulder on the fiber optic element. Push the tab down and out of the way and the elements should slide right out.
 
Here's a little something you may want to consider....
If you shooting sporting clays /skeet / trap with it, you may want to consider leaving the white one in there....the brighter colored front sight will make your eye want to wander and look at "IT" instead of looking at the presented clay shot.

I did the same thing 8 or 9 yrs ago...I bought a fiber optic sight kit for my 425 sporting. Swapped it out...loved the chartreuse one, nice, bright, real easy to see, but I noticed my scores dropped a bit, 15-20%...a couple of the vets of the trap & skeet clubs told me the same thing...get rid of that "bright light" on the end of your barrel, it's distracting you. Reluctantly, I changed it back and right away I was back up to where I was shooting before. I almost didn't believe it...so for chits and giggles I did it again...same results...lower scores !!!

Mind you..I've never shot 25 straight on either discipline...but I like 22's and 23's with the hopes of a 25...instead of the 17's and 18's behind the bright "lights". Maybe even try it for yourself...hopefully it won't make a diff, but it did for me and for others as well after I started asking around...Just thought I'd pass it on to you.....Best of luck dusting a pair !!

I went through a similar process about 20 years ago, no bright beads for me these days either!
