Field stripping the M&P9 alternate method?

You can also check out this video on YouTube... not the best quality as far as focus goes, but it shows you how. You do not need the 1/16" roll pin punch, only the 1/8" to get the main roll pin out to remove the sear assembly block.

Also, use the spring from a retractable pen and trim it down a bit rather then buying the "Ace Hardware" spring...

Make sure you click on the webstie link in the description box as it gives a good step by step with pictures.

Will see what I can do to make one with slightly better focus on the small little pieces...

I took out both the mag disconnect and the stripping lever. Now you remove mag, slide back, take down lever down, slide forward and fire. No more reaching inside or mag disconnect issues. 3 small parts removed. Not required.

Hey buddy,

No small parts are required to be purchased. You need to replace the spring you take out with a new spring, but the spring from a retractable ball point pen is the proper spring. I trimmed about 1/4 of the length off using a Leatherman.

Had issues with focusing as well, may just take some close up photos of the little parts to help clarify.
