Having the binding issue where the 8 round mag binds after loading a few rounds. I know the remedy is to file something.. just not sure exactly what!

Ive done my searches and asked a few CGN-ers without avail.

As I don't want to bung up the mags and have any loading issues, can someone tell me where exactly to fine and smooth to I don't have these issues? Many thanks!

If I understand you right, the magazine is too wide and dragging in the magwell? That means the rounds push the feed lips apart and therefore widen the magazine.
If that's the case, that's what I did. I measured the width of the empty magazine just below the feed lips. Then very carefully squeeze the top of the magazine in a vise with padded jaws.
Just squeeze enough to make it about 0.005" or 0.1mm narrower. Load all the rounds and try in the magwell. Only do it in 0.005" or 0.1mm steps.

I forgot to mention. You have to push to follower down and lock it with a screwdriver or nail. Otherwise you can't squeeze the magazine enough.

I guess there are two issues with these mags:

1) The complete mag getting snagged in the pistol magwell

2) After trying to load the 4th round, the follower bind on the magazine body.

I was mostly trying to get details on how to fix #2. But thanks for the tips with the other issue!

Do you have to redo this now and then or once its good - its golden?
