So a close friend had a late Muley doe draw in Peace River country.....ends on Dec 20.

We left yesterday at 4 pm, and arrived at 9 pm. Laid in for the night and headed out
this morning at about 8 am. [Sunrise was 9:26, so can shoot at 8:26] It was a bit slow
for the first hour or so, a few whitetails and some bucks. [7 or 8 moose, too]

At 9:45, we saw 5 muleys walking along a fenceline, headed for a brushy area. The area
they were in is a no "hunting" spot, but we have permission in the brushy plot.

Parked the vehicle, and walked to a convenient spot. Sure enough, big dry doe crosses
the road, and jumps the fence into the property we can hunt. She has to cross a 15 yard
open lane to get to the bush, so when she is about in the middle, I tell my partner "get
ready", and say "hey" loud enough for the doe to hear. She stops, my partner drops the
hammer, and the doe just folds right there. [7-08, 140 Partition, 2800 fps]

Fat and overall in great shape, she weighs around 110 lbs without head or hide. Good part....
we could drive right to her, so no dragging. We were back home at 5 pm today.
Great season all around. Dave.
