Finally... A black rifle... LOL!

What trigger is that? I would like to try a trigger that is a little more forward than a stock trigger.
With a regular trigger you might have more room for shooting with gloves on??

These help with upper and lower play.

I have no idea where to get these washers but if you figure it out where to buy some let me know.
Right now I just use a round rubber O ring washer

The trigger (as far as I know) is a DPMS kit that Darren installed for me. Me being a red rifle guy and a frackin' AR n00b doesn't help much. I could ask Darren next time I talk to him. I quite like the trigger placement as it is forward in the trigger guard much like an 858 which I'm used to shooting in 3 gun. After having some more play time with this rifle before shipping back out here to lovely Albania I did take the B.A.D. lever off. It feels just fine to close the bolt with my thumb on the release now that I've had a chance to do a hundred or so mag changes. It was just my unfamiliarity with the system is all... I dislike gadgetry on competition rifles myself, lol! Complication leads to disaster in my opinion.

I did order some Accu-wedges from Brownells before I left home along with some snap caps for a 12ga that I've been meaning to order for a long time. My home made dummy rounds have seen better days, lol! Nothing like practicing weak hand loading with dummy rounds that fall apart... The washers you *might* be able to find at a hardware shop... possibly in the plumbing department??? I'll see what I can round up and let ya know. The rifle is only a couple thou loose and only around the back end of the upper which the accu-wedge should solve for me. Fwiw, any rubber washer or o-ring that will fit tightly around that front attachment point should work just fine. Once you slide it on and put the lower on with the pin in the washer will then be "captured" as such and shouldn't go anywhere. Check the plumbing isle for sure... :D

This hitch overseas is going WAY TOO SLOW!!! I need to get home and have some range time fun! Still 16 days till I leave though, :(

On a brighter note I am on the short list for another ADCOR upper that Sask Gunworks is bringing in! I think I will mate it to an ATRS ambi lower this time with a 3lb Timney... What say you folk?

I say you stop wasting money on useless junk like accuwedges that do absolutely nothing to improve performance or reliability.

Got a better solution other than pointing out after the fact that an Accuwedge might be a waste of money after a couple dozen people have told me they work well?

Huzzah!

We need more photos!

Soon, soon... I am waiting for the stupid UPS man to get here with a package of goodies while uploading ride pics from last weekends adventure in Koocanusa, B.C. After that it's off to my suspension guy in Bassano to retrieve forks/shock that belong on my 450 EXC-R, :) Tonight I'll take some better photos of the entire thing and break it down and list everything that has been done. It deserves a proper write up!
