Finally a white glue Kriegsmodell

Great group! I really like the late war guns. Something about them just sparks my interest :)

Me too. Not exactly what it is but I really have no interest in anything earlier than 44. I have representative examples of early stuff back to 41 in my collection but no desire to add to them. Seems ridiculous to some to have 6 byf45's but to me that's not enough.:p

Thank you very much — very interesting info I had no clue about. I wonder - what sort of machinery did they use to turn the barrels? They obviously followed a template of some sort ... did they turn multiple barrels at a time?

Would someone be so kind as to enlighten me on what the whole white and red glue thing means?

Its just the glue color in the laminate wood. They used both white and red.

Ugghhhh on a side note....Why do people join the site and immediately list beautiful guns? They'd sell it 10x faster and 30% higher if they had some history.

Very beautiful rifle.Thank you for white/red glue explanation,I was wondering about that too.

Hole in steel buttplate-what's the purpose of it?I've seen it here and there and no clue what is it for.

Some would prefer the early war, meticulously built Mausers, with numbers and Waffenamps on virtually everything.

And some find the late war desperation of the Kriegsmodells fascinating.

I see merit in both camps...
