Finally after 35 yrs !

I've been an off and on archery hunter for 35 yrs.3 yrs ago I bought a new xcaliber 380 matrix xbow and been pretty serious since then.
No bucks coming to my apples and only does and fawns but always after dark all fall and it's been the same the last 3 yrs,always after dark.Last night this little one came in about 5 minutes before end of shooting time.She wouldn't give me a side shot as she was standing eating straight at me.I let the bolt go and took her at the bottom of her neck and touched her heart.I thought I'd be in for a mess but wasn't.Shot was 20 yrds and she went 15.
It's not a big one but after 35 yrs of trying I'm still a happy camper !

Congrats, she will be fine eating. From a table fare point of view that is 10x the deer of a gnarly old rutting buck!

NICE! There is nothing like the reward from time spent in the bush. Any deer is a good deer. Am I reading correct that it's your first deer? If so enjoy it and you will never forget it.

My little brother came home for Xmas last yr so took him out bow hunting.I put him in my tree stand the first night we went out.He had 3 nice bucks come out and he got a very nice 12 pntr,I just about cried !.I'd been hunting that stand all fall and no deer during shooting time.He got it mounted.
I guess good things come to those who wait !

Now you're Hooked for Life, (as if you weren't already!) Congrats! My dad has let the bolts go on a few and just last winter he finally got one. The funny thing was, it took off and jumped out on the thin ice of this small pond. Watching my dad and me trying to get out on this pond to pull him back must have been hilarious. - Cheers!
