Five YEARS!! They had no intention of ever returning it. Thinking perhaps you could pass away or get tried, frustrated and say #### it, keep the damn thing. Glad you got it back. This gives new meaning to "unacceptable level of service". Only the RCMP can pull such a stunt and obviously get away with it.

Yes a bayonet would look great on it my friend ...i also have a C1A1 and a bunch of other Ca firearms and I still have that wonderful letter from 2005 pretty much saying they are doing me a favor not letting me take them to the range anymore ..now this Fal will sit in the safe with the other ones that hardly see the light of day ...I have not recieved any mail from the RCMP the transfer was done at the gunstore i got it from ..must say Thank you to Paulette at Al Simmons gunstore for all her help and Kieth the gunsmith for welding the ground down safety sear in place so the RCMP would let me have it.

Give Trulander a break.....they are entitled to their entitlements. When it comes to doing away with corruption and seeing the light. .......remember a Lieberal Government is a graft government.
Good thing Mike Duffys 90K was front and center in the election. What ever happened with the 40 million the LIeberals stole in the sponsorship scandal anyways.
I would:
- take it to a gun shop that had ranges attached to it.
- Put 12(X) firearm up for consignment (1 meeeellion dollars).
- Visit once a week for cleaning, maintenance and function testing.
- Rinse and repeat.
The amount was much closer to 100 million from what I can remember. I could be wrong on the amount. 40-100 million, the Liberals never did pay it back. It was essentially stolen money.

I'm not surprised that it took them 5 years. They have much more important matters to attend to; the criminalization of 10-22 magazines and their owners, for example. It can take a fair bit of time to come up with ways to turn the citizenry into criminals using nothing more than hot air.
Beautiful rifle! I wish I could afford the privilege of owning one. Shame we don't have better public servants. It's too bad we can't stop their funding, even though it's taken directly out of our pockets. Vote to audit the firearms lab? Would likely show that they bought and used an outrageous amount of petty office supplies. Are they turning into a government funded gang or has it already happened.
My FN (German G1) sat for 5 1/2 years before it was sent back with work to be done (minor work but they wanted it so you could not remove the upper from the lower, Jan/2011 to Oct/2016). Sent a letter R. Goodale but have not heard anything from his office.

Not if they were taking that long in order to further your own agenda you wouldn't. That's what those idiots are doing. Every facet of their process is designed to create further roadblocks and red tape to hinder the public they should be serving.
