Finally BassPro has reloading supplies !

^^^^^^^^^

No fault of BassPro really, they had to abide by the City and what the City wanted, it was along the lines of the community as well, they were against it, as was the councilor in the area, so BassPro really had a lot of groups against them selling handguns and items for handguns

BassPro was not for it, but wanted to have a store in that location.....

One of those, between a rock and a hard place....

they could told them where to go as im sure other towns would love to have them but they Kiseed a$$ Id bet most of the groups that ##### have never spent a dime in the store

I was in Calgary a few days ago at their Bass Pro, specificaly looking for reloading supplies, and I scraped up a few hundred dollars to get well stocked up. The store is VAST and yet they had only a 4'x4' section for bullets, most of which was empty. I was totally unimpressed, I bought nothing.

We are currently renovating our retail area to make room for a HUGE selection of reloading supplies:

Equipment
Powder
Primers
Cases
Bullets.... etc....

We have built a larger (now approved) "magazine" so we can have a wack of powder on hand...

Give us a couple of months though to get it all sorted.

How about your Gormley location?

Just visited Basspro in Vaughan (North of Toronto). They now have 2 isles dedicated to reloading, which is not bad IMO. About 50% of shelf space has those white stickers, indicating stock that hasn't arrived yet. Prices are slightly higher than what we're used to, but no shipping so if you need something quick its not so bad. They also have some Hodgdon & IMR powders for $32-$37 / lb. They DO have some Lee & RCBS pistol dies, like .45ACP & 9mm Makarov(go figure), and will have the 9mm Luger as well (the white stickers are there). All in all, not bad...

Lets see just what they have mid summer, my guess is the same they have year round for everything else - Nothing

Screw BassPro, there are member dealers here that have supplies.

+1!

I might buy the odd brick of .22 if I was there regularly but thats never going to be the case. Big and flashy as the store is there is squat that I want there and talking to staff didn't improve matters. Makes WSS look better particularly now that they have the staff from Russels.

Go support the dealers here and the the independant shops. I even find the small places to be giving up very little in terms of pricing nowadays too.

I was there while they were renovating the isles two weeks ago. The guys let me browse while they were working because I was from so far away....I picked up some New Dimension .22-250 dies and the gentleman told me they are going to really go hard on the Hornady product line because Hornady is in the process of setting up a Canadian Distribution warehouse or some such...... Also got a lyman tumbler, WIN 7mm mag brass, hornady case lube, 6.5mm 129gr SST's, Lee breech lock press, Lee auto prime and a few other odds and ends.....

Why f*ck BassPro???

I don't know what's with all this animosity towards Bass Pro. Yes, they are huge hence inefficient. They ain't Canadian - but they do employ people from the community. Yes, I'd rather support our sponsors, but sometimes you need stuff right away & cannot wait for it to be shipped. You know, Toronto ain't Calgary, pickings are pretty slim here, and BassPro is 15min away from my house. So, BassPro is trying to get into reloading - what's wrong with that???

I was there again today & picked up a Lee Challenger for $80 and a set of Lee shell holders for $30 or so. While I was there, three guys were adding shelves because the stuff they ordered started to come in, and they're running out of room. They have 9mm & .45ACP dies, and the .40S&W is coming. I spoke to two of the guys - they were both into reloading... Mind you they couldn't tell me if RCBS or Hornady shell holders were compatible with my Lee press (I knew but forgot ;) ), but they were trying to be helpful...

What's not to like?
