Ouch! Expensive!!! Bought I can rest a little easier knowing a shortage won't leave me scrambling. I'll still pick up 1lb bottles if I can find them on a deal.

I cut my rifle powder options down to 3 for a similar reason, and started ordering by the jug. Between H4831, Varget, and WC735 I'm able to load everything I shoot accurately to respectable velocity.
Plus a pound doesn't go very far when you are throwing 45-65gr of powder per cartridge.

I'm set with several pounds each of US869, IMR4064, CFE223 and SR4759 (mostly bought from Hummasons) a few powders with 2-3 lbs each (IMR4198, Varget and BL-C(2)), and and a large assortment of partially used one pounders.

I like to experiment, so I "need" the diversity.

Yeah... hear you guys. I'm down to h4350 for one rifle (.22-250 shooting 75's and varget for my .17 remington and standard .22-250 shooting 40's. Got some imr 4064 and odds and ends im looking to trade for more varget. Got to simplify in this new era of powder shortages.

Likewise, i have my main powders stocked up but several 1 pound cans of various powders for experimenting.

I only buy 8 pound jugs, why bother with less anyway. Shipping is expensive, and the powder will last like 20 years.

Unless you can pick it up reliably at a store near you for a good price, personally I cant.

Me too. I only use the 1 pound jugs for measuring and pouring.

I remember the first time I bought a keg, felt like I had something. Now if I only had a keg of something that I'm using I'd be suffering from a panic attack. What am I going to do next week or the week after? Disaster looms.

Ya this week I had similar worry. Loaded up 400 rounds and then only had enough powder for 87 more. Luckily I've got some local contacts that have powder so crisis avoided. But for next time I'm going to be buying as much as I need for for year (so far 11 pounds of 4064 burnt this year alone) I think 4x8 lb jugs should do me.
