Lol. Funny and ironic how you just did the exact thing that you are trying to call me out on. Why are you taking the time to express your dislike instead of just moving along if you're so much better than me?
I'm actually happy for caramel if he worked hard all his life and can enjoy spending a lot of money as a result. I wish that to everybody.
But there is such a thing called bragging that exists, and I've always disliked that type of attitude.

JP - don't remember if you have one or not but I do recommend the S+B 10-50x56. Put one atop your favorite .308 and see the little groups way out there. Get the P4F reticule

Might wanna check out USO caramel. Not cheap either but you can get em custom made. Do enjoy your choices and don't sweat the moribund among us peeing on your parade. Thats just what they do

I know, i am doing some reading on the USO, Wantsalls got one 1X8X28 in FFP with and awsome reticle, this magnification would be perfect for AR applications, ( especially for my DD MK18, 200 yards range max... )... JP.

That's a great price on that S&B. I looked at them a ways back and wanted the 12-50x for a 50BMG. Although the standard for a 50 is the 5-20x range due to MOA adjustment. The S&B however had very good MOA adjustment for the magnification.
There are a couple of things though. First off the 12-50x only has 70mm of eye relief compared to the regular 90. Second the ones on sale are SFP or second focal plane. One of the things I really like about S&B is their FFP first focal plane use. Although many prefere the regular SFP. Still for that price it's a heck of a deal.
Buying one though might ruin the Sightrons for you.

I have to admit, i will never spit on the Sightron especially their great LRTD, when my vision was at is worst, this simple reticle with good clarity, permitted me of shooting normally, but now that i have a 20/20 vision from my shooting eye, i CAN see the clarity of top shelve optics like S&B and soon to come March and Hendsolt, i wanted to use them but never could justified them except my 5X25 in the safe but now, there is no more limits except the sky... JP.
