so i finally cleaned my Glock 17C!
have had the bugger for a couple years now and was gonna wait till the damn thing started to mess up but i couldn't stand how dirty it was anymore.
i was taking my new G19 out to the shop to give it a good clean and figured if i was doing 1 id do the other at the same time.

after i was done i realized i was still bored and had nothing to do so i decided to color fill the slides and the G19 mags (the G17C mags i had done a couple years back).

wow does that make the slide POP!

you can really see the difference in the color and finish of the metal between the 2 when you have them side by side.

the G17C is 2008 production and the G19 is 2014 (December so we can call is 2015 if we want) so near 7 years between them.

It does pop .... what I like about Glock, even with the slide coloured in, is that the logo is pretty subtle and tasteful ...... some pistols have really oversized the branding on their slides to the point that it becomes obnoxious.

What did you colour it in with?

How comfortable do you find the glock 19 compared to the 17? I'm considering getting a 19 but can't find anywhere to actually handle one locally.

The 19 has a shorter grip so if you have big paws, you may find your pinky finger on the mag. Can lead to pinching your meat during quick mag changes.
The width is the same between the 17 and the 19.
The 19 will take 17 mags.
