I have made up my mind and am getting a glock 17 gen 4 but wow are there price variations around. Ellwood is cheaper then most but I here great unsavoury things about customer service. Where would you folks purchase and what is the better price right now on one. Going to place my order Saturday afternoon. Leaning towards Wolverine but they command a higher price then most even with the coupon.

You definitely want to shop around. When I bought mine last fall there was at least a $150 difference between the low and the high prices when I was looking. I found a low price at one place I wasn't familiar with and asked another place that I have dealt with often if they would match prices, they didn't match it but did come down some and offered to ship for free.

Customer service is king. What is $50-$100 savings if you have to ship your gun off to get fixed and wait for crappy service for 6 months or longer. Ask them how they can help you if things go wrong. Maybe they can help on accessories or something. I have never bought from either of those you mentioned, but from recent chatter I know where I would go.
Good luck

I was thinking the same thing. Wolverine has a solid rep, the $55 and change might be worth the backing in the long run. Just a lot of cash to part with and I want to make a good decision.

Yea every time I walk into the gun room at epps to buy something the customer service usually talks me out of it. It's almost as if they hired staff who hate dealing with people. You'll get better service some where else, hopefully you can find a good price with it.

I wouldn't hesitate to order from Wolverine again, definitely a positive and hassle-free experience. I've been noticing more and more in the firearms industry most stores/dealers know that no matter how bad they treat potential customers they know people are gonna be lining up with open wallets. So it's nice when you find a dealer/store who doesn't act this way. I hope you're happy with your Glock, I sure am with mine!

Not for a glock. What is it going to break? a 2 dollar spring? just buy the thing in the cheapest place possible. Your Glock will never need anything factory related and if it does, you won't be talking to Wolverine.
And last but not least, if you really want to buy new, support your local dealer and not an online store in another province whatever that is. Wolverine service is ok, but they are the most expensive retailer I know of.
My 2 cents.

Servicing is a non-issue with a Glock. Spares are cheap and easy to find and changing parts is an easy DIY task.

Lots of reputable retailers have Glocks for sale. Shop around for the best price from the ones you like.

Ok, Glock = Walmart. my bad.

If P.O. wants to liquidate a lot of excess inventory, they'd do well to start selling to the civilian market. If they aren't affiliated with Glock any longer, why would they care who the guns are sold to if it's done legally?

I found wholesale sports the cheapest at $759.99. But is there anything you will be doing that the glock 34 won't do (marginally) better?
