Middle: Driver, 7x57 double set triggers, Mannlicher Style stocked Commercial Yugo m48 action.
Right: 9 Iron, 9.3x57 Swedish M96

Waited about a year and a half to get the Mannlicher and 9.3 back from a machinist/gunsmith to D&T the mounts.

Pictures need sunlight to pop.

Eagerly awaiting those, especially the 9.3 unit.

Do the commercial actions have the thumb clearance for the clip loader? Always thought that was a useless weakness in Mausers - except for military purposes, not civilian purposes.

As well as facilitating stripper clip loading, the thumb cutout is also a safety feature. In the event of a case failure, it allows a lot of gas to escape out of the left lug raceway before reaching the gas block on the bolt shroud.

Why would that be a weakness? The bolt lugs are well forward of that thumb cutaway.
As Ted mentioned, a good escape for any gasses that might get enter the action from
a ruptured case/primer. Dave.

Ive read and seen photos online of the reciever cracking at the cutout. Ive only seen one crack but i watched him beat on the bolt for 10 mins before freeing it. The bolt face was destroyed. It even cracked the stock on each side. Personaly i dont see it has a weakness or design flaw. The rifle i watched fail was the owner should never have been allowed near reloading gear
