Finally did it!!

Could you not just turn the knob on the toaster at full temp and plug the main plug into a pid controlled receptacle?

PID not only controls the heat but it is also fused. As long as the PID is not set higher than the oven is designed for (240°C in this case) there is no difference than running oven with its original controls.

Remember, profesionals at play here.
 
Its probably a convection oven. The PID controller cycling the fan on and off so many times isn't good for either one.

Good point there about the fan.
Brings up the question if the fan setting is beneficial or not.
Anyone did testing on with or without is better?

If it becomes a problem it can easily be mitigated by adjusting the controller settings. Extending the control period (most models default to 4 seconds) or changing to On-Off control should resolve any issues.
