Finally did it!!

Today I ripped apart my toaster oven and bypassed all the controls.

Now my PID controller has full control.

Had some powder that required 210°c, oven by itself topped off at about 199°C even though the dial went to 240

Its probably a convection oven. The PID controller cycling the fan on and off so many times isn't good for either one.

PID not only controls the heat but it is also fused. As long as the PID is not set higher than the oven is designed for (240°C in this case) there is no difference than running oven with its original controls.

Good point there about the fan.
Brings up the question if the fan setting is beneficial or not.
Anyone did testing on with or without is better?

Tastes rather plasticy and has red, blue, black spots all over it. If he waits a month, the bread will be just right for 711.

If it becomes a problem it can easily be mitigated by adjusting the controller settings. Extending the control period (most models default to 4 seconds) or changing to On-Off control should resolve any issues.
