It is not what I wanted per say, but it is a lever action. Winchester 9422 Cheyenne. Drove 6 hours round trip to get it. Shoots very nice and it is in really good shape. I`d say the bluing would be 98%, the stock has a few bumps, but not really noticeable.
Now to find out the year of this thing. Sorry for the blurry photos, between me and my camera...there is no hope lol.

Well it looks real pretty.
Since you were driving for six hours would explain why you did not answer my message.
Now that you have this one there will probably be a whole host of Marlin 39's in the EE.
But this is only a start as you will always crave a Marlin . . .
Will it take a scope so you can test for accuracy or will you maintain it "as is" with iron sights.

nice wood, you did good. how much did it set you back?
Enough, not sure what I`m going to do with it yet. See if a browning or Marlin in the same era shows up.Owner of this one said it has maybe 50 shells through it, if that. Almost too nice to strap to an ATV and go gopher hunting. Think this one is a 1977.
