Finally found a Mosin Sniper!

Those are the ones. I have only seen them on snipers stocks.

My guess is that they are from fingernails from grabbing the bent bolt in a hurry?

My guess is a watch. I could be wrong. It does point in the general direction of an original sniper stock though.

What stain did you use? I don't see much of a difference in the pic.

Min wax red mahogany, it's prob just the lighting. This is very close to the typical cherry colour shellac my other mosins have
