I've been hunting around for a S&W 610 for years now, and I finally found one! Found a 5" one, can't wait to shoot it. Anyone else shoot one of these?
Synchronicity man!
I sold a 5" no dash 610 to a CGNer from Van Island this May.
How many 1990 vintage 5" no dash 610s could there be?? I heard there were only 500 of the original 610s made.
And, OP, unless there is something wrong with the gun, you got an excellent price for it!!
It is a nose heavy gun. To take full advantage of the 10mm, I hope you reload! The factory 10mm feels exactly like shooting a .40S&W.
I really miss my gun. Congrats on your find!
Nice score! Be sure to post some pics and let us know how it shoots 10mm and 40S&W.
Load up on the moon-clips….
What're you using for a holster?
I also want to source a sight blade replacement, can't say I'm a fan of the S&W factory sights, they're just not sharp enough for me
Pretty sure it's an N frame with pinned front sight, like my 625-3's.
HiViz front sight is what I ran when I competed with Revos. Made all the difference.
Rear sight is up to you, there are many out there.
Very nice.
Say - how are those full moon clips to work with? Are there any issues with them? How do they wear? I've never had a wheelgun that uses them...
Here she is before my range trip yesterday! She shoots fantastic! The groups at 10 yards are one big hole in the cardboard. At 25 yards? Well let's say I need to work on re-learning how to shoot a revolver after shooting a semi all these years haha. I had to tinker with the tension on the mainspring to get rid of the light strikes (I'm out of Federal primers..). I also want to source a sight blade replacement, can't say I'm a fan of the S&W factory sights, they're just not sharp enough for me. A pair of Nill grips would be pretty sweet too.

I missed a nice 610 on the EE by a hair a few years back...... around $600.00.
To cheap, probably a scam. Hope that makes you feel better lol
