Musing the other day about adding another 9mm to the handgun collection I had every intention of picking up a cheap Norc or something when a little voice reminded me "you are Glockless man, just Glockless" so a quick call to Gunnar up at Armco in PG and the situation was resolved. The new addition to the family in the shape of a G17 is en-route which leads me to ask the glock fans out there a question: in your opinion which of 115, 124 or 147 grains do these fine polymer boys generally prefer to digest ?

Nice addition! Yes they really eat everything, my first G17, I bought it base on the cheap price, just can't resist to get one in my collection, after get used to the trigger, it become a very good gun to shoot, along with 1911, Those bad boy become my favorate.

I've had 4 glocks in less than one year. i keep buying and selling them, mostly because I f-ing hate how the glock looks, but it's a great gun no doubt.
I'm going to buy another G17 and just keep it this time, I'll probably never use it. I really like the 33 round mags (pinned to 10 (no i dont like that part) )

I find they'll eat almost anything, but I really like 124-grain myself.

Thanks for the website link - appreciated ! What I really wanted was a Sig P226 but considering I shoot handguns only on a 1:10 ratio compared to long guns I couldn't really justify the outlay so I am now on the Glock wagon and looking forward to its arrival. Will have to see how it compares to the S.O's RCMP-Issue S+W which, IIRC, has a trigger pull designed for a bloody gorilla LOL !
The weight, style, and brand of a ammunition is irrelevant in a handgun when shooting at typical handgun distances(25 yards and less). If a gun can't feed all factory ammo its a lemon. Your Glock on the other hand will eat near everything you put in it with the exception of bird shot. Then again, who runs bird shot through a handgun?

If some day, I purchase 9mm anything, I've already made up my mind.
It's going to be a S&W M&P of the Pro series.
I did shoot a friend's Glock G17 once.
It shot well, but I prefer the changeable grips, different grip angle, and superior sights & trigger, of the M&P.

I've shot both extensively, and they don't really compare. Glock is lighter and easier to carry (probably not an issue), easier to shoot for longer periods of time because of the trigger, and it's more than accurate enough for any typical shooting distances. They're also easier to get parts for and work on, and have lots of accessories available (no light rail, and not as many holsters available for the 5946).
Disregard, misread and didn't realize you already got the glock.

This. Also I've had pretty good results with RWS ammo.
I am the one who hardcore against ugly glock for many years, but as a shooter, I havd to know why I against this and I bought one two years ago and turn out I love it, it is not perfect nor better than my CZ and Beretta but it has something glow on me, I like the way that it shoot and handle, you may want to give it a try, once you learn the trigger, the sky become clear.
