Finally got a nylon

You’re supposed to clean them ?
Lol , seriously , I’ve never done anything to mine except run a bit of cleaner and lube down the barrel and then snake it . It’s taken many gophers and is fun as heck for beginners as it’s a laser with open sites and they hit the target often .

Good to know, thank you

I’ve never seen that stuff around. But I do have some birchwood Casey gun scrubber kicking around. Are they similar?
Not the same product. One-Shot gun cleaner & lube is a slick friction reducer, cleaner and top trier corrosion protection that stays in place among other positive attributes. Its hard to find but a dealer should be able to order it for you. My local bullet and powder supplier stocks it. Great for spraying into those hard to reach places when you don't want to (or shouldn't) detailed strip.

Edit: Its available on Amazon.ca but its stupidly expensive on that site for some insane reason.

I’ll have a look around. Unfortunately we don’t have a good gun shop for some reason, I’m in a red neck town with a population of almost 80,000.... but there is a new shop that’s trying, I’ll go see if they’ve got anything

I feel somewhat nostalgic. Bought one with lawn chtting and family allowance when i was 12, my first firearm. Not to long after i sold it to my uncle as it was bankrupting me. Would not hold zero, almost certainly the stock. Bought a 572 fieldmaster pump, grouse, hares, and squirrels did not appreciate that.

It’s also a dry lubricant so the action won’t get gummy with the unburnt powder

i love those Remington Nylon 22's,maybe a little to much,my collection has about 10 of them in all color combos,in both Canada and USA made stamped,a 10C with the original 10C mag still there, and cool bolt action Nylon 11,they are great fun to use,,and always get attention anywhere i use them, can't go wrong buying one at the right price, they are only going up in values,

Yep, can't go wrong with Rem Nylons in good shape. I've had 4 Nylon 66 units over the past 45 yrs and they all performed great & shot "minute of golf ball" with the iron sights out to 75+yds. Forget scoping the buggers though. If one has an itch for the rarest Nylon rifles, then the Nylon 76 lever action units are a good investment if in sound condition.
