Finally Got My CanAm Shorty M305!

Anyone have any tips to install the magazine release? I know Claven did a review of the release with pictures, but I have no idea how he got the release far enough seated to align the holes. I can't even put my stock release back in now.

I feel useless. :D
 
Nothing except some minor stupidity on my part. Did a forum search and came across the exact Claven post you mentioned. Had a DURR moment and reposted it here.

Oh, fair enough. Any thoughts on his method? I don't understand how he uses the punch to line up the release with the hole. I can't get the releaase that far down to get anything to line up.

Well, I just played with both magazine releases for another 30 minutes today. I was able to fit the stock one back in, so, it seems that the magazine release is a little larger than stock.

I purchased it from Target Sports a couple weeks ago. I may go back there today to have it replaced or maybe convince them to help install it for me if they are so inclined. :D
