Finally got my Tavor out!

Finally got my Tavor out for the first time today and let be tell you I was impressed. After an hour at the range getting everything sighted in was driving home and sure #### seen a group of coyotes about 30 meters off the grid road. By the time I got loaded up they were at about 100 ish. By the time I took the shoot I'm guessing closer to 150. The big boy took 2 steps and crumpled. Still had another 9 rounds and let another yote have 4 before he hit the snow.
So question for ya guys what kinda round count do some other owners have through there rifle. Can't find any info on barrel life or spare parts people have had to replace I'm thinking this is a good thing.

Not to be a Debby downer, but I hope you had permission to shoot/hunt on that land you shot the coyotes on, or that it was crown land.

Thanks stormchaser I think the hour warm up had something to do with the shooting. Lol. Permission not an issue as it was on my stepfathers section of land.

Around here as long as you are being responsible most people would see shooting a yote as doing them a favor.

my tavor has over 2000 rounds through it and i can see a small bit of wear on the back area of the firing pin. i think the life span of mine will be around 50000 rounds based on this wear. just my opinion tho.

Ya for now I got a vortex crossfire 3-9x50 v bright with Burris P.E.R.P. mount. Might upgrade later when I can afford it. But I seems to be a decent cost effective set-up.

What do ya guys feed yours? Today for plinking I was using federal American eagle. For the critters I used Hornady Match 72g hp. Both ran great!

That higher grain bullet should work awesome with your barrel!

Ya with the 1:7 twist ill get the best results withe the heavier grain. The Federal was good for plinking though.

Congrats on the Tavor. It's a awesome gun.
I've had some strange groups with the American Eagel, lots of flyers. I've got a crate MFS 62gr on order. I'm hoping that'll shoot better. I haven't seen much selection for bulk .223 that's 62gr or higher. I've also got some PMC X-Tac I'll be trying out next time. I know you can get it in bulk, but its armor piercing ammo, so its no good for home defence, the range, or shooting steel targets.
I'm really hoping the MFS will shoot well. I've had some decent groups with their .308 ammo. I'm hoping its the same with the .223.

I'm well over 6000 rounds through mine, and am currently considering replacing my firing pin and the rubber buffer portion of the carrier group.
