So, after many hours of researching and deliberating on what kind of scope to buy, I finally settled on a Leupy MK4 6.5-20x50 with a mildot. Everything on this rifle, including the rifle itself(Sendero 300 Ultra) was purchased by the way of this website. Accutip helped with with the scope, another member with the rifle and Alberta Tactical with the rings and base(Nightforce). This rifle is going to be my main hunting rig this upcoming season. Gonna go work on my loads tomorrow. Ill post up some pics when i get back. As for now. Here are some pics to keep you occupied. I only got one with the rifle. The rest are of my leadsled i just made.

I'm just making up a little shooting bench as well. Gonna go have some fun with my rifle, tikka 270, tikka 300wsm and a 300 weatherby. Gonna put my gongs to use that I made for the summerland shoot

Went out today and started my load development. Using Remington Brass, Federal 215m primers, RL25 and a 180gr Accubond. Started development at 88.5grains and had loaded up to 94. Turns out i only had to go up to 91 as this was my sweet spot for the rifle. first pic is 88.5 then the next one is 91. id say it is a sub moa rifle with that load. now i need a chrony so i can work on my distance shooting.

Thanks! I'm heading out shooting tomorrow morning to see if I can get her dialed in. Hopefully launch some out to 500 yards on the gongs. Maybe bring out the video camera and tape it. We shall see.

Thats actually not squarestock. Squarestock is solid. That is 2" .125wall Tube. And you can get it just about anywhere. I know princess auto sells it here. Along with every other metal fab shop out there. I filled that whole thing full of sand. Works very well.

Now, for a question. Went out shooting again today and had a blast. Got some pictures and videos. Hitting a gong at 500 yards for the first time was fun. So, everything is zeroed in at 100 yards. Set up the gong at 500 and start launching some lead. My Sierra program says that with my bullet traveling at 3200 fps Should be -7.5moa. So, i dial up 7.5 and let one fly and im shooting high. So, i go down to 6 and im still high. Go down to 5 and WHAP. Smack it pretty good. Which was exciting. So, i dial down .5moa and let fly again and i hit low. so i dial back up .5 moa and hit basically in the same spot as the first. Here is my question. Do you think that it is possible that, according to Sierra Infinity suite, my bullet is traveling at approx. 3550 fps?? i was only judging for around 3200. but 3550??? thats fast!! I found that out by increasing my fps to get my 5 moa drop at 500yards. Ill post all my stuff up when i get back on sunday.

just some pics of my first gong kill. 3/8s thick 10" gong at 500 Yards. first time ever dialing. The one low shot was me dialing with both knobs tryin to dial everything in. It was kinda windy. prolly 7-10 km from the left. Pretty neat to see what a 180gr Accubond does to steel at that distance. just waiting for some more lead in the mail to shoot more. Sorry the video is kinda shatty. It was taken on a digital picture camera. Ill take out the actual video camera next time.

yea, cause I'm one of those no-brain people that don't check out what's behind their target and enjoy blowing stuff up on a well used public road. Holy. Chill out! It's a dead end road which no one was on except us. The closest range to me is 200yards and that is not long enough. I'm in the middle of trying to find a better place to shoot. I live in the mountains and finding a flat shooting area out past 1000 yards and is not readily accessible by every Tom #### and Harry is a hard thing to find. And I'm shooting out on the westside off bear main.

Nice to see your all set up Matt, looks like you have a real shooter.
Have a look at Leupolds screw in flip back covers.
It will not make your rifle any more accurate, but they sure look much nicer than the butler Creeks, IMO, also your beauty scope will not get scuffed up.
Personally I find the Butler Creek style tend to block available light to some degree.
The Leupold caps are not cheap but a rig like that so deserves them.
Happy Shooting!
