put about 250 rounds through the Dominion Arms 1911 with my first attempt using frog lube.

well I have to say not one problem with the new gun..at first I only put one round in the mags to ensure no issues for the first 14 rounds then went to town..
now I'm not sure exactly but did notice the gun with just bluing also a norinco 45 acp tends to slide better then the one with the chrome finish...may try another lube on it .
anyone with same chrome finish have any advise as to what they use
my P762 ran excellent with the frog lube, funny thing after shooting the 1911 and switching to the p762 I noticed a huge difference between the two trigger pulls...1911 is much stiffer.
anyways
finally a good day shooting..

Just needs more rounds down the barrel to break it in.

This.

Don't waste your money on overpriced lube. If you need grease look for a small tube of lubriplate (or something similar). As for CLP, buy whatever's cheap and available.

Did you use surplus ammo in your P762, how many stoppages or malfunctions if any?

Approximate round count on the gun?
Perhaps break-in period was neccesary as previously noted by other posters.

my P762 only gets surplus and no stoppages
my point was that the two have such a different trigger...the 1911 stiffer and when I switched to the P762 almost felt like a hair trigger.
first shot from P762 caught me off guard..lol
today was mainly breakin for the 1911 and ensure it functioned ...

i took apart my norc 1911 sport and smoothed out all the contact points regarding the trigger and also a sloppyish trigger job. It's far better then what it once was but is not a perfectly clean break but it works good enough for me.

Good news.

I am on the fence about getting P762, and it is good to hear that eventually once it is broken in, it does work with surplus.

How about accuracy and grouping at different distances?

Webseo514--keep an eye on canada ammo if your gonna get another one the dominion arms ones are the same and not bad..barely read Dominion arms on the slide.
Ianis---only shoot the copper washed in either the toks or the P762, if not once warmed up the slides will start to stick, also keep an eye on Canada Ammo as they will have good deals, only thing no available extra mags yet. It does fit in a P226 holster, the trigger pull in single action is long but the double action is really nice for a Dominion arms. Remember it has a large hand grip and the P226 wrap around grips don't fit. Accuracy for the gun is ok , me not so good..lol but overall it's fun to shoot and I think I worked it out to $9 a box of 50 for surplus.
stripping down so easy only thing is can't get firing pin out as punch pin is really tight and don't want to damage it as I might slip...when I clean it I soak it in windex and then reapply frog lube.
Glenn.
