Took a road trip with a good friend today to visit Epps in Orillia and pick up my new 5R that I bought a few weeks back on reputation alone. She's topped with a Bushnell 3200 Elite 3-10x40 Short-Action scope on a Leupold 1-piece base and low rings.

Fit and finish on this rifle is beautiful. I just finished cleaning and the tolerances are amazing. The barrel is fully floated right to the action, and the satin stainless looks really good.. I can't wait to hit the range tomorrow to sight in and see how she shoots. I'll post pics and results once I get back.

Needless to say I haven't stopped grinning all day :D

The results! Rounds 7, 8 and 9 down the pipe. This is "cheapy" Remington UMC 150gr. I cannot wait to see what match grade 168gr will do!

5r

I have owned one for two years now , and have done a lot of load development with it , the two best powders that work in mine is Varget and
Vithavori n-150 , and the best load i have found is 48.1 Gr of n-150 .175 Gr matchking, Fed Gm primer, luapa brass the longest distance i have shot it is
at the 600 mark at Volks military range , i never shot a V-Bull at that distance but did manage to get some 4 's and 5's . Its pretty decent for a factory rifle , The one thing i don't like about it is the trigger , Mine is currently haveing a major overhaul done to it by
Mick Mcphee , match barrel / jewel trigger / accurizing etc, Can't wait to try it out after the custom work is done :canadaFlag:
