Been waiting a long time for this day. Yes its been refinished but I didn't want to bugger a pristine pistol with a restricted 110mm barrel because of our retarded 12(6) laws. 1939 S/42 code and she's a beauty.

I have a 1938 here which spent MUCH too much time on the Russicherfront.

Yours is MUCH prettier!

Beautiful piece.

British Design Institute brought out a book about 40 years ago, called "100 Great Industrial Designs of the Twentieth Century". For inclusion, something had to be (1) Twentieth Century, (2) perfectly functional, and (3) artistically beautiful, all at the same time. The Luger pistol was the ONLY firearm in the book.

MauserMike; That really is a beautiful Luger!

I recently acquired a restricted Luger as well, although it is not quite as pretty as yours. 1940 Mauser, serial number 416:

Peter at lugercollector.com can take care of the rebarreling and status change to restricted. Epps will too but prepared to wait 6 months or more.

I bought mine already rebarreled from Peter. When I asked him some months earlier about rebarreling a prohib Luger for me, he declined, stating that he only does this on his own Lugers for resale and does not offer a rebarreling service. He recommended Dlask for this (they also make the replacement barrels).
