Well with tax season upon us, I was thinking of setting aside some money for buying some of the major pieces of reloading equipment (about $500 or so). This is going to be my first time purchasing, so I'm a little unsure of a few things. Here's what I intend to do/not do so far:
1) don't buy anything with plastic parts (as seen from previous threads)
2) buy a single stage press, possibly new
3) buy brand new powder equipment (trickler, scale, etc)
I'm not going to be casting my own bullets. Buying bullet components (primers, brass, etc) and dies will be at a later date as they are cheaper to buy than the equipment itself. Right now, I'm just thinking of buying the more expensive pieces when I get the money to set aside for it.
So, without wanting to start a wildfire on here, which companies should I be looking at to buy from? I'm looking for good and bad reasons and personal experience. I know some places offer kits, but I don't know what to look for. What Canadian companies are out there that offer anything for reloading? For a person getting into this for the first time, I'm really looking for lots of advice and personal experience to help me out.
