Above is my final product for my long range rig. I know there are lots like it, but this one in mine. lol (full metal jacket).

It's a savage 110 fcp, 20 MOA rail (from the EE), Nightforce rings (non sponser), nightforce 5.5-22x56 NP-R1 (ATRS) and a harris bypod.

I got all the reloading compoents at ATRS also. I have 15 sighting in rounds loaded up just to get it on paper and to break it in. Then I will start load devolement.

Its a upgrade from my last long range rifle.

I can't wait to reach out there!!!!!:sniper:

Looks very good. Can't wait to see it in action at the peace river shoot.

I can't wait for that either. The sad part is I am already planning what new barrel I am going to put on it after 2000 rounds. Lol.

I will put a range report up tomorrow after I get my first few rounds through it.

Very nice... I've got almost the exact same package- except NP-R2 reticle. Only other difference is I have the TacPro cheek riser added (the one for HS Precision).

Keep an eye on your base screws, as mine had backed out from the recoil. It also appears (on mine anyway) that the very front base screw runs into the barrel threads before fully seating to the same depth as the other 3. I've since picked up the ATRS 30MOA steel base and bedded it to the receiver. Required me to shorten the front 8-40 screw as well. I'll try and put up some pictures tonight.

I've never been able to put a 20MOA or more base on a savage rifle with out having to trim the front screw.

Thats a beauty of a rifle. I wish I waited and got one of those rather then my 110BA.

LOL, planning a barrel aready... Sounds like me. It does look a lot like a 110BA barrel so I am guessing you will be very satisfied with how it shoots. Talk to Jerry at Mystic or Sean at North Shore for a shilen prefit when you do need a barrel. Super easy to do and its very affordable.

Its amazing how many of us joined the .338LM club after last year's shoot. This year that target will hopefully be RIDDLED in hits :)

I have planned builds just for the shoot. Not like you don't know, but its pretty funny either way.

Man... That shoot was the final blow thrusting my addiction full force into what it has become... Have come a long way since bringing one tupperware .308 and a lever action 45/70 to the firing line. Always advancing, stepping up our game is what this is all about!

CanuckWR it is a 110 ba action and barrel. They just changed the stock and the break. Much better in my opinion.

Kmartel that first shoot did just that. Now I need a whole bunch of rifles to be able to reach out there.

One goal for this rifle is to take a deer or something like that at 1000 yards if I can. The round still has over 2000 ft/lbs of energy at 1000 yards. That is more than enough for anything on this side of the planet.

My next rifle needs to be a 50 though. Maybe a 6.5x284. I can't decide.

So I went to the range today with the rifle. What fun it is to shoot. Recoil felt like a 308 or less and it wasn't that loud.

I made up 15 round to get it on paper. I loaded 250gr SMK's with 86gr RL19. Not a fancy load just to get the job done. So this is the overview of the target. The first shot is the flyer up on the top left. I then adjusted it down and it was in the middle of the target.

All groups are 4 shot. The first one only has three because the 4th is in the top left. Distance was 103 yards from the end of break on rifle.

This is a close up of the first group.

This is the second group. This one opened up mostly because I was shooting in 35 km/h winds and they were starting to gust higher on this one. The wind was to my back.

The third group I couldn't beleive when I see it.

The fourth and final group left me more exicted than I ever though I would be. I have never shot a group this small!!!

I can't wait to start using better bullets and match primers ect.

Nice shootin! Gonna try your load development farther out? I am doing my initials at 200 and then finalizing between there and 500 (all my local range offers). I feel a need to test farther out as even shooting it under 500yds seems a waste to me :). Really wanted one of these rifles before settling on a used custom instead but looks like they live up to the hype!
