Finally, i'm almost done with this project...
-1955/56 Tula all match #
-Timbersmith Monte-Carlo stock with custom slot for the bayonet
-Techsight TS200
-Tapco front post
-Bolt buffer from Techsight
-5 rounds Promag mag
-5/20 rounds Tapco mag
-Wolf spring kit ( 2 )
-Polished upper bolt + bayonet
-Tapco extended mag release

Now I need to sight this thing and shoot different kind of ammo.
The middle sight is still there, I will try to align the 3 sights...

Techsights is a gr8 upgrate but I was impress by how much the wolf spring kit reduce the trigger pull weight... I dry fired it with snaps-caps...

Enjoy and let me know what you think !!!

Hey we have the same type of flooring!!

One of my friend did it 4 me. He's a gr8 woodworker and he told me that was not so bad... Best advice is : Take you time and Be carefull with it !!!
Don't remove too much material cauz at the end, the wall is thin between the cleaning rod slot and the bayo slot... Be gentle especially at the end. When its done you may want to solidify the inside of the stock to prevent cracks...

And how should i go about doing this..sorry if this is an odd question..maybe i should already know ...lol

Buys another cleaning rod and cut it so that there is a small piece that goes into the stock ( like 1/2 @ 1 inch ). By the same time you remove the stress from the cleaning rod into your stock...And save the original...

After that, from the top, I made a groove perpendicular to the groove of the cleaning rod. I put a small piece of iron into the new groove and you glue the piece into the stock with bedding putty or any good glue*...

God that's nice. I'd like to get a timbersmith but they are pretty pricey.1 inch recoil pad on my russian for now lol.

That stock doesn't improve accuacy. That been said, the stock worth every pennys... Why ? Because the length of pull, the cheekrest and the balance of the riffle really improved...

I like my Timbersmith stock :p

That thing is awesome. Nicest I've ever seen. I love those Timbersmith stocks. Nice touch with leaving the bayo on. Worth the effort for sure!!!
