Finally, Rusky's made a good job and reduce Simonov SKS magazine capacity to 5 shots without butchered magazine base. Serial number still intact.

I have some very interesting one's for sale in the "Equipment Exchange" section, one dated 1949 and a serial number "1".

Much better, though still not as nice as the rod welded to the follower. I only have one franken-pin rifle in my rack, guess it has now dropped significantly in value ;)
 
And, it can be repaired without damage to the serial number, should the day come... (yeah right, I can dream, can't I?) :D
