Finally signed up for the Hunter Safety Course!

After years of assinating paper targets (and various veggies/fruit/tannerite) I have decided that there is too many tasty things walking through my yard. I have deer, partridge and turkeys that seem to think my property is some sort of sanctuary. I'm a bit late to the game at 43, but I have lots of friends that hunt to mentor me. My kids have been bugging for me to get my license lately and I'm pretty eager to take them with me when the times right.

Now I do have one question. After the course, about how long does it take to get my license? I already have my outdoors card (fishing) if it matters...
 
I did my course on line, met up with another CGN'r who was an examiner. Passed the test, he signed off on the documents , I mailed my papers to the BC wildlife folks, a week later they sent me my certificate, walked into a service BC office and 30 min later I had my hunting licence, cougar and deer tag. From start of course to licence in hand was less than three weeks.

Is the examiner on the island by chance? I took my course online, and the three examiners I have attempted to contact won't return my calls or emails....
 
If like your Avatar says and you are in Ontario than usually you get a copy of the form stating you passed on the day you finish the course. Take this to the nearest full service Service Ontario office and present the form to them and they will use your existing OC# to issue you a temporary card and licence on the spot. At the same time you can buy your deer licence and seal plus your small game licence and you are than set. They will mail you the permanent card a few weeks later.
