I just threw a couple of loads together to get it zeroed and see.
140 Partition, RWS case, R-P 9½, 52 grains of Norma MRP - about 1.2 moa
150 Scirocco, RWS case, R-P 9½, 50 grains of Norma MRP - right around .9 moa

I will tweak, perhaps try Reloder 17 and 19, possibly IMR 4955 or Hodgdon 100V
Something will probably tighten that up a bit. Definitely "huntable" right now. Dave.
 
Nice to see you got what you were yearning for. I seen Whynot? Had a #1 375 H&H for sale a while back- had to make a trade and cash to get it in my hands. Recently came across a Ruger tang safety model 77 in 7x57, and it had a 7 in the serial number, so i bought it. Best load so far is S&B cases, Rem 9 1/2 primers, H4350 49 gr. 150 gr Nos. Part.
 
Congrat Dave, nice rifle in a very nice caliber. Make me think when i found the elusive 376 Steyr Scout. JP.
 
It's always a great feeling to get what you want and often harder to know WHAT you want. I always wanted a No 1 and about 7 years ago I found a great condition used No 1B on the EE in 25-06 which was a caliber I wanted to try. I couldn't really afford it but bought it anyway......... it arrived and it was a letdown. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't drooling over it until the little lightbulb turned on over my head. I didn't know much about the No 1 models and until that moment hadn't realized I was in love with the AH stock and sporter barrel. I was also after a larger bore for the heftier profile barrel. This last December I found one at Epps. They had 4 medium sporters in 9.3X74R and I watched 2 sell in a few days so even though the price was crazy high (they're getting ridiculously expensive IMO) I again pulled the trigger and now it's mine. Beautiful rifle in a great caliber that sits in my safe, you see I finally figured it out. With me it seems to all be about the chase. The want, the search, the chase. I'm glad the OP found his white whale, meanwhile I'll be deciding my next "gotta have"!
 
I had a similar one - a 1A, so with iron sights and Alexander Henry forearm. Same scope - 6x36 Leupold (mine was an M8). Spent lots of time fussing on that forearm - as per articles around that time by John Barsness and others. Ended up using 150 Partitions and enough RL-19 for about 2,800 fps. Never did really try anything else - took lots of stuff over about 20 years with that one.

Yes, Rob, it would do just fine for that Bear. I have shot probably 20 bears with the 7x57 with nary a glitch,
but I am more curious about bullet performance here. The 325 WSM is quite a bit more than one needs to
kill even a very large blackie. I believe I have shot 4 black bears with the 6mm Remington and the 100 Partition.
All were dead within 50 yards. Dave.

Afternoon Dave, I was just playing the devils advocate here with my comments above ;)
I did see the Bruin in the 325wsm post after commenting here.
My guess is that the caliber and bullet combo will result in one dead bear.
