Finding .303 ammo....

Yes in fact.303 ammo is in short supply as we also only currently carry one sku in stock...PPU soft point at $31 for box of twenty. This was recently received, thus the higher price. Also remember that .303 rifles while fairly common in Canada are very few and far between in the USA where much of our commercial hunting ammo comes from. During less panicky times some US manufactures would produce .303 but now these seasonal production calibers are not even considered due to the basic inability to keep up with production and demand for more common "Merican" calibers. Yeah, when I talked to them last week they confirmed that they were waiting for a shipment from their supplier, so it's quite believable that this is just the new price level. Hence my sudden willingness to pull the trigger on a 100-round bag for $200 all in.

I also see this morning that Canadian Tire is getting small dribbles of stock in this week - if you search .303 ammunition on their website it's findable. $72/box for Federal 150gr & 180gr, $77/box for Remington 180gr, $48 for S&B 150gr, $50 for Hornady 150gr and $33 for Winchester 180gr (though that is an older ad and only 1 box available and it's in Lachute. I think that's an old price)

It looks like Federal is selling boxes directly in the US from their website for $58.99 USD per box so... looks like this will be the new price level for .303.

You should seriously consider getting into reloading. Only this way can you have all the supply you need, for years to come. It's also:
a) cheaper than factory reloads, and
b) more accurate, as it they will be tuned to your rifle, and
c) an enjoyable pastime in itself, especially during the winter months.

What's not to like?
