Anyone know where in Canada you can find a plain, bead sighted 9-shot Mossberg 590, not 500? Everything I've found is either the 590A1 with the heavy barrel and ghost ring sites or some abomination with chainsaw grips, muzzle brakes etc. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

yeah you don't see too many of the non-A1s 590s around.
Give Milarm in edmonton a call,they're a mossberg dealer, you could also try wholesale sports, I picked up a non-A1 590 cruiser, thats pistol grip only, from wholesale last year. and put a stock on it.

this is the way to go....the 590 I bought I did not even try to fire with the pistol grip,..I just installed a KNoxx comstock and a couple other goodies. A Hi-Viz sight that sticks on seems to be a cheap and effective way to get a better sight. I also installed the SJ Hardware follower, safety, and side saddle, and a light mount for a G2. Still nearly $100 cheaper than getting an 590A1

If you want the classic basic 590.
Order a factory stock and a Meprolight TRU-DOT Night Sight from Brownell.keep it simple and clean, then all you really need is a sling and a light .
ETA; if you get a cruiser model,you might need to get a front sling swivel point, as my came without one.

Try searching for the 590 Cruiser model. They are the 9 shot 590 models but come with a pistol grip which could easily be switched out for a normal stock. I found one with a heat shield earlier at one of the dealers but I forget which one, never bought it though. I've never been able to find the 9-shot 590A1 with just a bead sight though.
