Finding a rifle stock?

55 and 65 stocks, let alone any parts, are hard to find. Is the stock salvageable at all? Holes can be filled, cracks repaired. As long as the stock isn't in 2 pieces, it should be workable.
I'm surprised to hear something like that about Tradex Canada... oh well. In a pinch, you can order stocks from Finland. For example:

Not cheap, and you'd be buying one without seeing it... I'd go with gunrunner100's suggestion - unless the stock is that far gone that it makes the rifle manifestly unsafe, refinish it. You may be able to steam some dents out, and fill some gouges and holes. They will just give character to your gun (which is, by the way, a nice example of Tikka quality from the late 70's and early -80's.)

Another option would be to sand it all out, fill the holes and blemishes and put
on a base coat with a heavy splatter on top.
I have my Ruger with this finish.
Not hard to look at, and won't slip from your hands.

Did they, by chance, send you the wrong gun? Maybe some inventory tags got mixed? Generally TradEx seems to get very good review because they overstate cosmetic issues and under rate condition.
Realistically it is easily shootable. The holes are empty sling stud holes and big dents in the wood and checkering. I am by no means mad at tradex because for $600 I would still have bought it without a stock because I love the chambering and it has a carbine barrel. Im just wondering about something a little bit nicer if I make it my go to deer rifle.
