Finished a C No7 rebuild

Nope. All No4s, C No7s and C1A1s in shooting condition have been taken off strength. Only air rifles allowed now. I believe some cadets are allowed to shoot commercial centerfire and rimfire rifles and C7A1s in summer camp shooting programs unless that's also gone by now but units are not allowed to hold C7s. Only drill purpose (DP) rifles are allowed to be on strength besides air rifles.

Too true. Watched the weapons tech drill thru the chambers and spike them with a steel rod her e in St John`s. It was sad

Nicely done Lou! I love it! Maybe yours will inspire me to restore my last one I have. I still have a ratty original 1944 marked one here. Have to find a rear sight and a forestock for it. Aside from that all is good. I used to have 3 nice ones at one time but sold them all. I set this one aside to restore someday. Now to find the sight! LOL That might be a problem now. Hard to find any parts at all for the No7's.

Shameless call to the Enfield Fanatics Community - there are only two parts which I wasn't able to find to complete this build. If anyone knows where I can find the wee little small tiny spring and screw which allow the windage adjustment to go "click click click" when I turn it, let me know

The OP bought a number of them...they are just a commercial round head 3-48 screw.

I restored (3) C #7 .22 rifles back in the 90's., added chests a rod/brush/jag.
Long Branch Actions 1944, C#7.22 1945 and 46's were $25 each in grease in the wrap, by the hundreds. Still see the occasional for 50 bucks.
All parts can be found for sale thanks to Canadain Arsenal bulk sales in the 1970's.
However I have only found (3) .22 LB barrels for sale, last 40 yrs. Was told by a former Long Branch employee the barrels were sold to an Austrialian company in the 1970's. They were converted to .22 Hornet, down under.

within the first week of joining cgn there was a post about stripped 22 no7 receicers for sale for 25$ each. I dragged my feet and then the next day all were sold. I think it was ellwood epps that bought them and changed the price to 100$ each, then i dragged my feet again and they were gone. Ive since seen 3 for sale on the EE ranging from 150-300$
One day ill get one.

Really, the only way to go is with a lined .303 barrel. Not really the same but better than nothing.
CNo7 barrels have always been a bear to find. I got one from Globeco in Ottawa which used to cater to the DCRA trade. That was about 42 years ago.
