Thank you all for the kind words! I appreciate it greatly.
I'm glad I kept going with this. I was super bummed when I picked it up from the auction house.
I did make a timing video too. I'm just trying to figure out how to splice two videos. It cut out at about 10 min, then there's another 3 minutes I have to add on to it.
I would have been pissed to have paid for such a neglected piece.
But you made a "silk purse out of a pig's ear".
U must be YOUNGNever heard that saying before!
those gnarly bites in the action around the bolt cleaned up real nice, attago

If you like the gold Browning Buckmark logo look on the lever bottom, one can ad Forster Gold Inlay firearms paint to bring that Buckmark Emblem back to life. I will be doing this in the summer to an X-bolt receiver that I'm having Cerakoted silver. It turns out real nice if one is careful and read the instructions. Here is a link to that product. When I profiled the barrel, the only part that didn't have a lot to come off was the section with the factory stamping. So it still had all of the remington info on it.
I had to solder in all the unwanted info. Then filed smooth, and cerakoted over it.
I left the 7mm-08 and just ground in "AI" beside it. My brother suggested i just cross off the "Remington" and scribe Browning beside it, would of been a funny little easter egg detail.
