Other then the mag, The mount and scope. It's pretty much looks like a L42A1. I could not find the brackets for the mount that it suppose to have, I guess thats a huge problem..for mounting a repo mount :(

Its a Irish Contract No4 Mk2, I bought the gun with the bayonet cut down and the forearms cut down to the middle barrel band, Came with a sniper cheek piece. I ended up polishing up the dull gray bolt to be a semi shine but smooth, It's one of the fastest bolt actions I got now...The wood on it is very nice...Has a dark black finish to it and the polished brass butt pad on it.

I installed a B square No4 Mount and a Weaver K4 scope. Being the CAD Tech mount I had was too high and off centered and the scope that came with it was actually a Carl G 84mm 2 X 17 Degree FOV sight with like only 1-2" eye relief so I did not want to get scope eye. I assume it was pawned off to the guy as a repo No4 T scope...

But I cannot wait to shoot it, The rifle been in my safe unshot by me for about a year and a bit now.

You had to expect this...
:needPics:

Can't wait to see pics of it Rob....

Only beef I got right now is that B square mount, attaches to the rear sight hole and to the ejector screw and rails extends over the receiver. Now the mount flexes a bit by hand ( when I push down on it ), Even with the heavy steel scope Weaver K4 scope and the rings extended as far as I could go, but I don't think there be any stress to the mount.. Just gotta make sure I don't fall on the scope or drop it..

Hi
You may want to swap out the scope withsomething else. There is almost no eye relief with the CG optics.

Nice Rob
Richard

To tighten up the B Square mount, replace the rear cross pin and clips with 2x small bolts w/ nuts. The grip nuts & bolts w/ lock washer for the old C7 bayonet work perfect in this application.

Well the play in the mount is not where it attaches ( rear sight and ejector screw ) Its where the un supported rail over hangs the receiver...

i saw a scope mount in brownnel, scat that seems like its petty solid i think it sgoes onthe side of the receiver usingthe rear sight holes or the safety hole can,t remember for sure afellow shooter has one will look next time at range

Nice rifle, looks very good. Has anyone tried an L42 clone on an AIA Match? I've thought about it - not sure how close to an L42 you could get.So far your's is the closest I've seen. With the AIA the furniture ends closer to the muzzle and you'd need to come up with a full wood models stock - (scope mounting would be MUCH easier though)

Had it, Its crap... Sits way to high also I could not get it to be straight, The mount was crooked.

Nice looker there, how doses she shoot?

Like I said in the first post, I have not shot it....

Nice. What was the total cost of the project ?

I paid less then 500 for it, including the new mount and scope...
