Hey gang,
Got some pics of a project I've been working on for a while now. It's a refurb SKS. The most obvious change is that I've zinc parkerized it. The stock has been re-worked by extending it and adding wood to the grip area. The finish is truck bedliner from a rattle can.
The barrel is threaded and the crown re-cut. The muzzle brake is one of my own. The gas tube was originally a scope mount but was useless as such so I removed the rail and added a piece of it to the bottom of the stock.
It's got the mosin-nagant mount from eastwave and the scope is a 4x24 from eastwave as well.
I've had it out before I refinished it, it's a real hoot to shoot. There's no recoil to speak of and the accuracy isn't to bad, 10 shot groups are around 2.5" with reloads.
All in all a fun project, what do you guys think?
Robin
