Bushnell Banner Dawn & Dusk 4 X 12 X 40 with Weaver bases and Millet rings.

I only had a very low budget.

Good stuff Old Owl. Be sure to give us a range report and let us know what you think. My Dad is looking at a Stevens 200 in .223 (cuz I cant make any damn sense outta his mini 14) so Im interested to find out what you think.
Cheers!

223

I fell in love with the 223 at the Kamloops show last spring. Saw a cartridge display and it kinda jumped out at me and wanted to come home with me. Kinda weird though-falling for a cartridge? Anyways the taxman was real good to me so I bought a Ruger no 1(so I could have a falling block too) and she now has a Bushie 4200 4-16. Man am I looking forward to a large field full of chucks or yotes. Targets will do for now. Its a love thing anyways and I may even let my wife shoot it. She told me to buy it rather than share the tax return as we usually do. Enjoy your new toy-they are great fun to shoot and cheap too.

Now you just need a sling or bipod for it. I have a grey/black butler creek foamy type sling on my stevens .22-250 and it feels great on the shoulder.

I really like the bipod I purchased for mine. Not too expensive but works great in the gopher patch.:) I think its butler creek as well. It has extendable legs on it which extend to about a foot and a half.

You can always slap a boyds thumbhole on it if you are so inclined.
