Hi folks,

I've been slower getting them done, well that's what happens in spring time :)

This one came to me as a pretty stripped barreled receiver (from member Vimy Ridge, when he was selling about a dozen of them!). The bore was good and headspace was ok as he mentioned, so I was happy!

Regular DP wood and metal parts as a kit from Springfield Sporters, quite a few hours of work (and a few extra parts from the ever-so-famous "misc. parts box"), sling from TradeEx, and here she is.

I hope mine turns out that good, My uncle has a No.1 MkIII sporter that was done by bubba that he said I can have. I think the barrel is in tact by his description (as it sound like a simple bubba) so after I get in sent or go get it, I will probably get one of those Ishipore sets. Hey Lou, what is that website? I think I have been on it before, they have sets for 60 bucks? Do they have everything you need?

Thanks folks, this refurb was a fun and straight forward one (well if you can say that about 1 hr or 2 of work for the forend bedding is "straight forward").

LE41, that's the place, google "Springfield Sporters" and you'll get their site. Faxing your order works well; sometimes it's difficult to reach them via phone. All is included, but it sure requires time to clean, sometimes fix, etc!

Lou
