Hears a nice 5 shot group at 82 yards. No reason for the distance its all I have out the back garage window at the moment.

These 6brs are the bees knees.
I have a couple of savages on the go one for a buddy and another for myself, can't have too many 6brs.
Enjoy the picks.

Nice lettering very classy. I,m guessing that its cut with a very fine point in diamond or carbide if done on a mill ? Is the barrel on a rotating axis while the cut is being made. or is this the work of an EDM.

I use a carbide (I think) engraver. .030 tip 40 deg. basically the width of the cut you see.
I use a home converted rotary table. I substitute the y to the a axis. So I use the ZXA.
Much the same setup as hear, but without the dremle.
I tried the dremle vertically but wasn't getting a very good finish so I stuck the engraver in the regular quill. Slowed the program down and the little engraver didn't seem to mind 3000Rpm. One pass at .007". I think the bottom letters are .1" tall.

Drawn up on Mastercam, tool file on WorkNc. Sometimes I actually dont mind working for A-holes when I get to use their ####e for my purposes. (that happens ALOT)
I did the entire sideplate on that machine, yeee haaa. free materials too

thats impressive guys. Sdeering what are you using for cam software? I never could get mastercam to work right for engraving on a cylindrical surface.

I use mastercam.
The stock seems OK. I had to add some washers to one action screw too deep and I had to drill the hole deeper on one screw not long enough. I don't think these stocks rate too high with the bench with the precision shooters. I get it cheep. So far it seems to be OK.
