I am thinking of creating a database for all things finn. Information like model, serial, condition, relevent marking etc. It would be cool to preserve this info for the future & also see what of what model made it into Canada, how & when. What computer program would be the most effective in such an endeavor? What do you guys think? It might also prevent unfortunate sporterising & d&t.

Why re-invent the wheel when the flawles $1-2B registry is available thanks to the Ottawa ####izen?

And PS - I still see ppl on cdn boards regularly boasting about how they drilled and tapped such things are rare P-26 M91's for PU scopes, etc.

I think your efforts would be wasted as most non-collectors don't give a damn at all.

Oh yeah, the billion dollar bust! The info in there is so mmessed up as to be useless(as we already know). As for the bubba brigade, I want their info too. Then the finns lost in battle to the drill bit & their various rarities will also be recorded.

Excellent idea, many other forums have been collecting data for many years for other military rifles, and it is interesting to see what shows up, changes, transitions, etc.

Anything that helps promote our hobby and contributes to supporting collectors, I'm in for....:)

Let me know if I can help you out, even if it's grunt work.... :p
