I'm looking for M39 Mosin Nagant 1940 -1945
I know there is 3 different barrel makers for those guns + some have modified M91 barrels...
But i want to know wich is the best between Tikka, Sako or VKT ??
Maybe they are the same quality

Any opinions ?

Finn mosins are very well made, I wouldn't have any problem owning and operating rifles made from any of the Finnish makers.

As a matter of fact, I remember my Tikka 1940 M91 being one heck of a nice rifle and a good shooter considering she looked like she was run over by a tank.

All great bores... if in good conditions of course. With the appropriate bullet (.310), excellent rifle.

Yeah i heard they like 200 or 203 grains .310 bullets....
200 or 203, i'm not sure :p
I think the name of those ammo back in time was ( *finn ammo* ) D166...
But those ammo is for barrels marked with a * D *

Maybe there is a bullet maker that still have those .310 20X grains bullets ?
Reloading with a Finn M/N can be interesting...

I will try to find some bullets and other stuff here in :canadaFlag:.
Any ideas where is a good reloading store ?

The Hornady. 3105 FMJ's are the correct diameter for the barrel. I think they are 174gr in weight. The Hornady 208 Amax works also however it will allow a little blow by which is a primary factor in bore erosion.

I've found the 203 gr soft points from MFS shoot very very well out of many of my Finns. The 185 fodder is slightly less accurate, but pretty good just the same. Its not surplus priced, but gives reloding with quality components a run for its money.
